For himself, well, it's a different story.

The man who infamously told Katie Couric during a 2009 interview "I'm a gangsta, Miss Katie. I don't take nothing from no one. I do what I want to do," has been equally outspoken about his use of "sizzurp" or "purple drank," a prescription cough syrup made with a combination of promethazine and codeine.

Omotola Condemns Eko Hotel Hall, Says 'It’s Too Hot For My Skin'

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, for those who witnessed the recently held Maiden edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, would have noticed that she was not too comfortable.

Well, we have just discovered the reasons for her discomposure. In a recent interview, Omosexy, as she is fondly called said, she was meant to change her dressing like three times but because of the hotness, the heat in the convention centre, she had to change earlier so as to be fit.

Omotola noted that she had planned to change her dress after the red carpet for another one to present an award but the Convention Centre of the Eko Hotel, was hot and couldn’t afford her the luxury of time, thus, her reason for changing into the most comfortable of the dresses and look at the event.

“The first dress by Iconic was so tailored to me that I couldn’t sit comfortably in it. So, the idea was just to arrive in it and wear Ejiro’s outfit (pictured left) to present the Best Actor Award as it would be at the end of the show but the hall was too hot. The sweat caused by the hotness from the hall spoilt my hair and make-up so I had no choice but to change earlier than planned and carried the easier bombshell look which was more forgiving,” Omotola explained.

Nothing has been confirmed yet but there are several reports suggesting that one Nigeria’s literary masters and globally celebrated novelist Albert Chínụ̀álụmọ̀gụ̀ Àchèbé otherwise known as Chinua Achebe has passed away at the age of 82.
Pandemonium is tearing up through social networks Twitter and Facebook over several reports which say Achebe died last night in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The revered novelist’s family have not come out to confirm or deny the news.
Achebe is also reported to have taken ill a while ago.
Could it be another death rumour?: Just last week, Achebe’s son Chidi, retorted rumours that his father had passed away around that time. ‘This is lent season and I believe that this untrue gossip is spiritual distraction and I need to be in tune with God’, he told The Vanguard Newspapers.
