Kim Kardashian walked the red carpet (in heels, of course) at the Atlanta premiere of her new Tyler Perry movie on Saturday night and dished on her pregnancy.
"Being pregnant, I will say, is not as easy as my sister [Kourtney] made it look or as my mom [Kris Jenner] has made it look," the 32-year-old star told E! News at the "Tyler Perry's Temptation" premiere.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Francis inaugurated his papacy on Tuesday with an address calling for the defense of the weakest in society and of the environment, saying that otherwise the way was opened to death and destruction.
Addressing an estimated 200,000 people and many foreign leaders gathered under bright sunshine in St. Peter's Square, the Argentine pope underlined his constant message since he was elected by a secret conclave of cardinals last Wednesday - that the Church's mission was to defend the poor and disadvantaged.

The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Obafaiye Shem, has dismissed the stories making the rounds about his suspension from work saying he is still in- charge of the command.
According to the commandant, he has been on casual leave to perform the burial rites of his father Pa Michael Obafaye, who died on February 8, 2013 at the age of 82 and will resume at his duty post next Thursday.

Senate Wants Amnesty For Boko Haram


The Senate has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to reverse his decision of not giving amnesty to Boko Haram in the interest of peace and unity of the country.
This was revealed by the deputy Senate Leader, Senator Abdul Ningi, at the PDP reconciliation meeting yesterday in Bauchi.
He said: “I have the mandate of the members of the and the Senate to call on you as the Chairman of the ruling party in Nigeria to also call on the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces to in the name of God reconsider the announcement made in Yobe and Borno as regards the issue of amnesty to the insurgents.”

2 Robbers Die While Escaping With Stolen Jeep


Two suspected armed robbers last Sunday met their untimely deaths when a light blue Prado jeep allegedly snatched at gun point from a victim at Nyanya crashed and killed two of them on the spot.
The Jeep with Registration Number JJJ 432 AC, was said to have been snatched from one Mr. Charles Boat of office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

AERO CONTRACTORS SACK 95% OF WORKERS



It has emerged that troubled airline Aero Contractors, which suspended all of its flights last week, may be in deeper trouble than was previously revealed to the public.

Those cancellations stemmed from a dispute with workers at the airline regarding operation and pay.

Over the weekend, about 95% of the company’s workers confirmed that they received emergency sack letters from the management, and they today began a labour protest over their sacking.

CONTROVERSIAL PARDON; BILL GATES CANCELS PLANNED TRIP TO NIGERIA


Microsoft's Founder, Bill Gates, has cancelled his planned trip to Nigeria scheduled for March 27, in response to the controversial pardon granted to ex-convicts Diepreye Alamieyeseigha and Shettima Bulama by President Goodluck Jonathan.


That trip, authoritative diplomatic sources said, has now been cancelled, two days after the U.S. government expressed disappointment with its Nigerian counterpart for pardoning convicted money launderers and warned it might cut aid meant for the country.

"I can confirm to you that Mr. Gates won't be coming as scheduled," sources reportedly claimed Monday morning.

Our sources said Mr. Gates has already instructed his staff to inform the Nigerian presidency, the secretariat of the Nigeria Governors' Forum and the Federal Ministry of Health that he was no longer coming.

BOMB EXPLOSION IN KANO


At least five people are reportedly killed in a bomb explosion yesterday in New Road Motor Park in the predominantly christian neighborhood of Sabon Gari in Kano.

Joint Task Force sources revealed that the explosion went off about 6:00 PM  on Monday.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
