21 dead as Explosion rocks Emab Plaza, Abuja (Photos)

 Many killed as a bomb exploded at Emab plaza, Wuse II Abuja.Those are the busiest plazas in the city.Manzo Ezekiel, spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, told AFP news agency: "You can see smoke billowing from the sky. It's a very crowded place."
A Vanguard reporter on the scene said..

"I can see human parts and some bodies scattered on the ground but we are too scared to get closer for fear of another bomb..Many traders and visitors to the mall are still trapped in the burning building,"

UPDATE-The Nigeria Police Force PRO, Frank Mba, confirmed the number of casulaties at 21 and injured,17..He said the 17 injured were rushed to  Maitama District Hospital in Abuja. The bomb was detonated in a car as it passed through the gate of the busy mall...

This is crazy..Since people are now vigilant at motor parks, they are taking it to schools and Shopping malls...Nowhere is safe...

"I have lost some jobs as a result of my marital status but it is worth it because you can’t buy a good home or compare it to anything in this world. You can always get another job after you lose one. But once you lose your home it is difficult to get another good home.
I take up controversial roles wisely and can no longer go the extra mile with male colleagues on set or take up bitchy roles. My husband can take up any role and he knows how to handle them. My man is very decent and does whatever he feels is right. After all, location is location while home is home"

Father whose 11-year old daughter was raped in Ogun told she enjoyed it

An aggrieved father whose daughter was defiled five years ago by her school’s proprietor,alleged that a DPO said his daughter (the victim) would have enjoyed being raped.On June,19 ,2014,Mr. Danwanu Moses father reported that his daughter now 16,was raped by the proprietor when she was 11 but his claims were laughed off..Now he wrote a petition to the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, dated Friday, June 20, 2014.Part of the petition obtained by Punch reads..

“The police will not act to protect girls. Their failure to protect the girl-child, especially in the villages is a disgrace to Nigeria in the eyes of the world.I took my daughter to the local police and appealed to them to arrest and prosecute this man but they dismissed me and said there was no evidence and the DPO in front of my daughter said she would have enjoyed it anyway.This is the most disgusting behavior of the police in response to a very serious crime with long lasting psychological damage on the victim.My daughter and the other girls who have been abused by the proprietor deserve justice; they deserve to go to school without fear of harm, without having to be faced by the man who raped and defiled them.I beseech you to please help me find justice and secure the safety of my daughter and the girls in my village.””

He says  the school proprietor took advantage of his closeness to him (the father) to commit the act and that the daughter could not tell anybody because she had been threatened not to tell anyone.
