ACTRESS ANITA HOGAN SPEAKS ABOUT HER unclad PICTURES SCANDAL,MARRIAGE AND CAREER

Anita Hogan, a nollywood actress married to a Dutch man spoke to Nonye Ben-Nwankwo about her unclad photos scandal, her marriage and career.

My marriage
I am married to a foreigner. I had to blend into his culture in order not to suffer from culture shock. I had to learn the language and I took the integration exam. Now I speak Dutch very well. I am very comfortable with the language. I go wherever my husband goes. I am not the type that says we should live apart. No matter how much money I have, I want my
family to live under one roof. There is nothing unique about marrying a foreigner. He is just like every other man. It is not that I have always dated a foreigner. I had dated Nigerian men and other Africans. Men will always be men, no matter the colour of their skin, origin or physical features. If a man needs attention, you will give him the attention. A man’s needs are the same everywhere. Now, my home is Holland. I have to be very partial. That is where I want my children to grow up. Education in Holland is free and it is standard. There are no separate schools for the rich or the poor. I bring my children home often. I want them to know their African background.
Why my marriage has survived
I am not going to compare my marriage with that of my colleagues whose marriages broke up. Nobody prays to have a broken marriage. No woman wishes to get married and watch it break up after some years. I don’t make fun of situations that I don’t even understand. In my own case, it is just God that has sustained my marriage. I might sound old fashioned, but it is just God that has done it for me. He knows everybody. In every challenging situation, He will always tell you what to do. I read all books about marriage, but it doesn’t work that way. You have to go into a marriage with an open mind and then make the best situation out of anything you see in it.

Drivers Protest Proposed Ban On Commercial Buses In Abuja

ABUJA, May 28, (THEWILL) – Hundreds of commercial drivers under the aegis of Owners and Drivers of Mini Buses Association, Tuesday, stormed the National Assembly to protest the proposed ban of mini-buses from operating in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with effect from June 3.

The protesters who carried different banners described the new policy as “obnoxious policy on transport,” saying it is “not mass friendly” and should be rescinded.

Some of the banners read: “We are Nigerians, give us our right to work please,” “We are not in military regime, we are in democracy, hear our cry,” “We’re part of the organised labour, we are not touts, live and let live,” “SOS, SOS, save our jobs, don’t throw us into starvation and death. Save our jobs,” “NASS, save our families.”

Other banners read: “We are legitimate drivers and conductors, NASS stop this impending slavery,” “Is government afraid of competition? Live and let live,” “Create jobs not joblessness.”

A member of the association, Prince Paul Omeire, who addressed the press at the venue of the protest disclosed that the objective of the protest was to get the National Assembly to get the FCT Transport Secretariat to change the policy.

“We are member of Owners and Drivers Association, and we operate the town service transport. We own the buses and drive them. Our problem is with the Transport Secretariat of the FCT.

“The new transport policy is that we should stop operation in the city on June 3rd and this means that at least 25,000 drivers with their families and other extension will suffer. We create jobs and we don’t know why they want to create joblessness,” he said.

Topic: Man Beats Wife To Death Over N500 In Lagos, locks her Corpse.

This is a pathetic and yet dreaded situation. Even policemen are afraid: “This is not the first time he is doing this. The first time they lost their daughter, he locked her [corpse] up in the room preventing everyone, including his wife from coming inside.
"Till date no one can tell what he did with her corpse. As you can see, everyone is afraid of him in this area.”That was the much a female resident, identified as Nwankego, could say due to fear for her safety. Oronna Street in Abule-Egba area of Lagos was on Monday thrown into confusion after a 60-year-old man who allegedly killed his wife over his missing N500, locked himself up inside their home with the corpse.Reports said fight broke out after the man identified as Gbadebo Elegbede, accused his 17-year-old son of stealing his N500 at about 7am. His wife, Maria, was said to have defended his son, her action reportedly led to a verbal confrontation with her husband, which degenerated into a scuffle.

In the process, Gbadebo was said to have hit his wife with a hard object on the face, causing her to slump.

His son, Johnson, was said to have attempted to lift his mother from the floor only to discover that she was motionless and bleeding from the mouth and nose.

Johnson reportedly ran out to alert neighbors to come to his mother’s help, but they met the door of the apartment locked. Gbadebo is in and threatening that he would kill anyone who force the door open.

Eye witnesses said some of the deceased’s relatives who rushed to the scene were also prevented from seeing Maria’s corpse as the door was still locked and they are afraid for their life.

Surprisingly, according to vanguard, policemen at nearby divisions who were contacted said they had not been informed about the incident. As at 4pm on Monday, Gbadebo was still inside the room with Maria’s corpse and no one could go close.hmmmmmm Wonders really originates from Nigeria...
