With just two days to the World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria,Namibia coach Roger Palmgren has resigned from his post.
Namibia are third in group F of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers and have very little chance of making it to the next round, with both Nigeria and Malawi ahead of them in the group.
On Monday,Palmgren, tendered his resignation, that he was leaving the Brave Warriors, just a month after his appointment by the Namibian Football Association,in May 2013.
It is understood that the Swedish born coach, resigned following death threats that he received.
The Super Eagles are currently in Namibia,to play the return leg of the World Cup qualifiers, and could book qualification into the next round,if they win and Malawi fails to defeat Kenya.
The absence of the Namibian coach for the game against Nigeria, could favour the Super Eagles, who might have a tactical advantage in the clash, like they did against Kenya, following the suspension of their coach,Adel Amrouche.
After four games in the World Cup qualifying group,Namibia have just four points and might have blown any realistic chance of progressing, with the resignation of Palmgren.
