Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala:Forbes’ 83rd Most Powerful Woman in the World 2013
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, 58, who attended the prestigious Havard University, is on the list of the most powerful women in the world, the list released by Forbes displays the name of Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, sitting at the 83rd position.  Other Africans who made the list include Malawian President Joyce Banda, who occupies the 47th position and the president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf also stays at the 87th position.
On the international level, Angela Merkel, a German chancellor and a member of the 27-member European Union retains the number one slot.
Dilma Rousseff (President of Brazil), Melinda Gates (Cochair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation),Michelle Obama (FLOTUS – First Lady of the United States) and Hilary Clinton round up the first five list. Ranking 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
And the most powerful global celebrities are musician/actress Beyonce Knowles Carter, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, actress Angelina Jolie, actress Sofia Vergara, musician Lady Gaga, TV personality Ellen DeGeneres, musician Shakira Mebarak, author J.K Rowling and supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
