UK-based Nigerian Lesbian, Aderonke Apata Plans To Submit Her Sextape To Prevent Deportation

A UK-based Nigerian Lesbian and asylum-seeker, Aderonke Apata, says she’s ready to send a sextape of her and her partner to prove she’s gay. She claims she would be killed if she returns to Nigeria.

According to IndependentUK, Aderonke feels she has tried everything to persuade the Home Office that she’s gay. She’d sent letters from former girlfriends and supporting statements from friends but since none of them seem to be acceptable, she feels there’s only one way of providing a judge with irrefutable evidence that she’s gay and that’s by sending a video of herself and her partner in the act.

Ms Apata, 46, revealed the traumatic ordeal she has experienced: 

“I was asked to bring my supporting documents for my judicial review for the court to look at. What evidence do we have to compile apart from letters from people? I knew we had a home video of ourselves, so I thought why not just put it in? I cannot afford to go back to my county where I will be tortured, so if I have to prove it with a sexual video, then I have to do it.“I feel so bad it’s got to this stage. It’s such a desperate and precarious situation to be in, very dangerous, because anything could happen to those pictures, those videos.”

Ms Apata went to Britain from Nigeria in 2004 and her asylum claim was on religious grounds. She’s from a Christian family but married a muslim man in what she says was a sham marriage to cover up her long-term relationship with another woman.
According to Ms Apata, her husband’s family turned against her as they suspected she was gay. They took her to a sharia court, where she was sentenced to death for adultery.
This latest asylum claim was also rejected, despite the fact that Ms Apata gave testimony that her ex-girlfriend in Nigeria was killed by homophobes and that Nigeria now punishes homosexuality with up to 14 years’ imprisonment.

Robbers Kidnap Two Sisters, Demand N150m Ransom

 Two sisters of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State were on Sunday, May 8 kidnapped by five unknown gunmen from their home in Karmo, Abuja.
The gunmen stormed the residence of an engineer, Mr. Samson Opaluwa on Impresit Camp, Associated Estate residence at about 5pm, raided the entire house dispossessed the residents of their valuables, but not satisfised with the money they got.
They took to abducting 23-year-old Ejura and 19-year-old Unekwu Opaluwah, whisked them away in the booth of a blue Honda car with number plate, HR 152 ABC.
An uncle of the missing girls, Mr. Amadi Opaluwah speaking on the abduction said: “It was about 5 p.m that evening when five armed men came into the house and went straight to the room of the girls’ father, Mr Samson Opaluwah, an engineer. They robbed him of  his valuables. As they were leaving, they took both girls and put them in the booth of the car.
“The abductors then called yesterday asking us to pay N200 million ransom, which they eventually reduced to N150 million.”We have reported the incident to the Life Camp Police Division, and they said they were on top of the situation.
Opaluwah, who declined to give more information for fear of the girls’ safety, argued that the abduction was not politically motivated as the father of the girls, who is the procurement officer at the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, is a civil servant and not a politician.
He said: “My brother is not a politician; he has no interest in politics, so I don’t think there is any political undertone to this.
“We are pleading with the abductors to release the girls, they are innocent. Also, I want my nieces to have faith, be calm and patient. By God’s grace, they will be home soon.”
The uncle further noted that the father, Samson, who is a director in the Federal Ministry of Works, and the mother were worried about the whereabouts of their daughters with the family hopeful that they would be released as soon as possible.
The Abuja Police Public Relations Officer, Altine Daniel who confirmed the abduction said: “Yes, a case of abduction was reported to the police division, and this is a case which involves human lives. “So, we are treading softly, and we are keeping our fingers crossed.
“I assure you that the police are working on it, and I do not want to say more than that,” she said.

How Native Doctor Duped Men Of N21.1m And Later Gave Them Acid As Spiritual Concoction

A 45-year-old native doctor, Jamiu Alao, was on Monday charged with defrauding two men of N21.1 million and attempted murder at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

Mr. Alao, who lives at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun, is facing charges of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretences and attempted murder.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

But the prosecutor, Innocent Odugbo, told the court that Mr. Alao committed the offences with others still at large sometime in April at Mayfair Estate, Ajah in Lekki.

He said the native doctor collected N3million from one Raimi Oluwaseyi under the guise of giving him spiritual protection.

The prosecutor said the accused had on April 8 at Ijabi Quarters, Ijebu-Ode, also collected $116,000 (N19.1million) from Mr. Oluwaseyi and one David Orji on the pretext of protecting them spiritually.

“The native doctor gave the complainants a substance to drink for spiritual protection and directed that it should be consumed at a residence in Lagos.

“Orji and Oluwaseyi drank the substance which turned out to be an acid,” Mr. Odugbo said.

According to Odugbo, the complainants had to travel abroad to seek urgent medical attention for internal injuries they received.

He said the offences contravened Sections 228(2), 312 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Section 228 (2) recommends life imprisonment for attempted murder.

The Magistrate granted the native doctor bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned to June 30 for mention.

Schools Shut Due To Protest Over Sanusi's Coronation, Military Bans Private Jets From Landing

Hundreds of people are still protesting over the emergence of the immediate past Central Bank Governor, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, as the new Emir of Kano, Northwest Nigeria. And number of schools are closed due to the protest.

Hundreds of young people made bonfires on Emir palace road on Monday in Kano city. Vehicles and tricycles were forced to hold green leaves while chanting 'bamuayi.'
Following the protests, most parents became apprehensive and refused to take their children to school. A number of schools remain shut in the city while additional security was noticed in bank premises.
Although the protests were concentrated within the old city, city dwellers avoided the streets.
In Sabon Gari, a predominantly Christian quarters, business activities suffered hiccup as most shops remained closed for fear of looting by protesters.
Few minutes after his announcement as the new Emir of Kano yesterday, residents went wild, torching some houses and cars within Kano city. The protesters marched from the city through Kofar Nasarawa into the state road. They later moved towards Government House where they were stopped by security guards.
Last night, the Federal Government grounded a private jet that took Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and other leaders of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to Kano, disallowing it from flying back to Port Harcourt.
It was gathered this morning that a plane carrying Governor Tanko Al-Makura to Kano Airport was also not given clearance to land by the Commandant of the Airport.
Major General Chris Olukolade, Director of Defence Information, confirmed the ban on flight of private jets to Kano by the military for “security reasons,” the nature of which he failed to explain.
The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) also confirmed that the ban was imposed by the military.
Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a former minister of Federal Capital Territory and a chieftain of APC said the ban was part of the ongoing persecution of Sanusi by the Jonathan administration.
The relationship between President Jonathan and the former CBN Governor had turned sour few months before the end of his tenure at the apex bank.
When the death of Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, was announced last Friday, many Nigerians had anticipated that the former CBN Governor will not to be the favourite candidate of the Presidency and the PDP for the new position.
This was why the PDP wasted no time in sending a congratulatory message when rumour filtered in yesterday afternoon that the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero has been appointed as the new Emir of Kano. However, the PDP later withdrew the statement and had not deemed it fit to send another one to Lamido Sanusi.

The level of hypocrisy in Nigeria is just too high…..Or how do I explain the attack I and my wife have received on different blogs for adding Nollywood & HOLLYWOOD among the names we gave our bundles of Joy : King Praise Micheal Victor Tochukwu Jesuogbo Iyinoluwa Hollywood & Queen Grace Michelle Victoria Peculia Chimamaka Jesukomeh Opeoluwa Nollywood .
I guess all those who condemned us have been so blinded by Hatred that they couldn’t see all other names but the HOLLYWOOD and Nollywood…Anyway thanks for noticing me my wife and our children, but What is really bad in those two names ?
Yes , there is always two sides to a coin and everything in life is to me like an abstract art work of a genius .

It always come with different interpretations depending on how every one percieve it from there stand point …..

Most people who criticise the names gave their reason , they said ;the two industries (HOLLYWOOD & NOLLYWOOD) are synonymous with immorality .
And I wonder if they are truly alright at all because if they are normal they will know that despite some of the negative reports from Nollywood,It is safe for Nigerians to declare Nollywood day because this is an industry that has consistently put our name in the world map and when you are fortunate to travel out of Nigeria.
Then you will realise we Nigerians are the only people that are not proud of NOLLYWOOD.If we choose to look inward then queations like ; where and What would have been of Names like,
Tonto Dike, Mercy Johson, Jim Iyke Kevin Ikeduba , Odun Adekola , in a country where unemployment is at it highest level.

I for one will still be in the back street of Mushin hussling or dead like 35 of my childhood friends who all died between 1990 – 1995 around wuraola in pako Eleja Area because they all decided to take the short-cut (armed robbery). But thanks to Nollywood, I am now Femi Ogedengbe! It is a pity that people will seat in the comfort of there homes,hide behind the freedom that such platform as Facebook and all other social network provide to judge the logic behind the actions of people they don’t know. 

Here in Nigerian there is a town called Umuagwo & Umueke (descendants of snakes) and you don’t think that is weird enough but some of you whose family names are something around the neighbourhood of Esubiyi,Sango these and Ogun that Join in condeming a name that has its origin in such a vibrant industry as Nollywood that has engage more Nigerian youth in one way or the other and have helped in no small measure in putting smile on our collective faces unlike the Nigeria corrupt politicians who we shamelessly sing their praise .. 

In as much as I appreciate everyone who congratulated me and my wife Nkechi Diane,the matter wey dey face Nigeria pass Femi Ogedengbe name pikinses Nollywood & Nollywood.
