Suspected Female Ritualist Set Ablaze By A Mob In Abule Egba [Very Graphic Images]
So now people are set ablaze on suspicious claims?
This woman(pic above) was accused of attempting to kidnap the primary school pupils in the Ekoro area of Abule-Egba, Lagos yesterday May 6th. Eye-witnesses claim the woman stopped the kids, who were aged 7-10 years as they were going to school, and asked to take them to school.
Then a female hawker in the area, suspecting the woman was up to no good, alerted others in the area who then surrounded the woman and started asking her questions. They said the woman replied that they were her children but couldn’t give their names and the direction she was taking them wasn’t where their school was. The children, on the other hand, said they didn’t know her and before anyone could do anything, they descended on the woman, beating her to a stupor and then setting her ablaze.
Dear Lord! This isn’t acceptable. People can’t just take the law into their hands.
How Rapist drugged, inflicted machete cuts on 15 year old girl inside Bush(Photo)
A suspected rapist who was allegedly refused sex by a grade six pupil of Young Tajudeen Middle School, Ede, Osun State (name withheld) attacked his victim and inflicted injuries on her.The assailant, who some claimed was a ritual killer, inflicted machete cuts on the 15-year-old girl’s head, legs and wrist.
According to report, the pupil was living with her grandmother in Ede, Osun State, while her mother lived in Lagos State. She was said to have gone inside a bush in the town to pick some mangoes last Wednesday when the man allegedly accosted her and wanted to rape her.
She said...
I went to the farm to pick mangoes on the day I was attacked. As I was heading for home, I met a man who asked me to give him some mangoes and I did.The man asked me of my name and I told him my name is Suweba, but my real name is (withheld). The man later said he wanted to have sex with me, but I told him I was too young for that. The man threatened to cut off my head if I didn’t oblige him. He held my head, forced my mouth open and dropped a white pill inside my mouth. I fell down and I became unconscious. I was attacked around 2pm and I woke up when it was getting dark maybe around 7pm.I managed to crawl to the footpath and shouted for help, but none came until the following morning.”Some farmers, who were said to have found the girl inside the bush the following day, rushed her to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital in Osogbo for treatment. The victim was said to have been brought to the hospital with maggots oozing out of the wounds all over her body. The maggots infested wounds made some people to believe that the girl was attacked more than 48 hours before she was brought to the hospital.
One of the medical personnel at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital told our correspondent that the girl was brought to the hospital with maggots all over the wounds.
The mother of the victim, Abebi , told our correspondent that the girl’s father had died and her grandmother said she should not take her back to Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Folasade Odoro, when contacted said that the command had not been briefed of the case.

We Don't Know Whereabout Of Abducted Chibok Girls– Jonathan Confesses
President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria has said the authorities didn't know the location of the school girls abducted by suspected Boko Haram insurgents 3 weeks ago in Chibok, Borno State.
PUNCH online reports that the president made this statement on Sunday while speaking at the Presidential Media Chat held in Abuja.
It would be recalled that more than 200 girls were abducted from Governmental Girls' Secondary School on April 14.
While some of them managed to escape, the majority are still missing. Information has surfaced that they might have been relocated to the neighbouring countries.
Specifically, when Jonathan was asked whether the Federal Government knows where the kidnap victims are, the country leader responded:
"All the information that have been volunteered to us (about their location, we’ve used) and we have searched the places. We are using aircraft – helicopters and planes – that have the ability to scan and see what is on the surface. And we have scanned, but we have nothing."
President also answered "No" to the question whether the authorities were conducting negotiations with the abductors in terms of possible release of the children.
According to Jonathan, "you can’t negotiate with somebody you don’t know; nobody has claimed knowledge of the abduction. Even on the social media that the Boko Haram uses to show what they have done…"
Urging the victims' parents and the girls guardians to cooperate with police and security representatives, Jonathan promised to bring the girls back:
"We are pleading that they should cooperate with the government. We need the identity of these girls and wherever they are, we are talking to all the neighbouring countries – Cameroon, Chad and Benin Republic, as well as some countries in North Africa – so that wherever they take these girls, we will get them back if we get the maximum cooperation of the parents and guardians."
Additionally, the President called the state of emergency imposed in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states "effective" saying:
"Terrorism is not a phenomenon that a state of emergency of one month, six months and one year will solve; except occasional terror. We are consulting the security and relevant people and when we need to extend, we will extend it (state of emergency) because I believe that we are succeeding."

Mother clings to moving vehicle as kidnappers tried to run off with 9-month old baby(Photo)
A brave mother, Mrs Priscilla Ekpenyong, on Friday damned the consequences by clinging to a moving vehicle in order to rescue her nine-month-old child, Emmanuella, from the hands of fleeing abductors.
The abductors had pushed the 23-year-old woman out of the moving vehicle, but she held on to her daughter and was dragged on the tarred road for some distance before the kidnapping was aborted by security operatives.
The incident happened by the Eburutu Army Barracks along the busy Murtala Mohammed Highway in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
Narrating her ordeal at the Police Clinic in Calabar, where she and her daughter received medical attention from bruises sustained during the incident, Priscilla said she boarded the taxi, a Volkswagen Jetta, at the Pyramid Hotel Bus Stop along the highway with another unidentified woman who was carrying a male child.
She said shortly afterwards, the taxi stopped to pick two men, who on entering the vehicle demanded the babies in the vehicle.
Priscilla said,
Edem-Bassey told PUNCH Metro that the harsh economic realities forced him into stealing children.
Edem-Bassey (30) from the Akpabuyo Local Government Area of the state, said he was introduced to the business by a friend, named Essien.
It was gathered that Edem-Bassey and his fleeing accomplices pretended to be passengers while another co-conspirator posed as a commercial driver.
Edem-Bassey said they were to take the stolen children to one Albertino who was introduced to him by Essien around the Eight-Miles area of the the Calabar metropolis.
The suspect, who claimed he had a 13-year-old son, said he was a taxi driver, but lost his job after he fell sick.
He said,
The PPRO said the arrest would aid the police in unravelling the mystery of child stealing in the state, adding that it was obvious that the suspects were kingpins.Calabar had in recent weeks been under the menace of kid abductors. The children that had been snatched had yet to be found.

“I entered a taxi at Pyramid Hotel Bus Stop on a journey to my village, Idoma, in the Biase Local Government Area. Another lady was also in the vehicle with her son, but when we got to the Army Barracks junction, two men joined us.We thought they were passengers, but as soon as they got in, they started dragging our babies with us.The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Hogan Bassey, said the taxi driver and other accomplices escaped, while a suspect, Victor Edem-Bassey, was arrested and was being detained at the headquarters of the Cross River State Police Command in Calabar.
“I was sitting in the front with the driver, while the other woman was sitting at the back with her baby too. The two men sat at the back and while one of them was dragging the other woman’s baby (a boy), the other man was also dragging my daughter.
“The luck I had was that I strapped my baby in a tummy-carrier and the man struggled to remove the baby inside the carrier. He succeeded in removing my baby’s hand from the carrier and she started crying. He almost pulled my baby’s hand off, so I shouted for help.
“He then pushed me out of the vehicle, but I held on to my baby. The vehicle dragged me on the road from the Army Barracks junction to Sampet Filling Station, a distance of about 500 metres, before some security agents intervened. They caught the man who was trying to snatch my baby and took him to the Federal Housing Police Station. I don’t know where the others went.”

“I fell sick and the owner of the car I was driving collected it from me. After he collected it, there was no money to survive. Essien came to me and told me about this business. He said he would take me to his boss who would help me.It was gathered that the police had arrested Essien, and was being detained at the command headquarters.
“He then introduced me to a man called Albertino, who said he would solve all my problems if I bring babies to him. He did not say he would pay me anything but he promised to solve all my problems. I met him in a joint at Eight Miles, but I don’t know where he lives. He was driving a jeep. I met him at the Old Market Road. He told me to bring the babies to him.”

How we jumped out of Boko Haram truck-Abducted Chibok School Girls ..
When Boko Harm struck over 2 weeks ago, abducting over 270 school girls in Chibok,Borno State, some were brave enough to escape.Punch caught up with two of them Sawok & Thabita Walse who gave their account of how they escaped..
Can you describe the attack on your school?
Sawok: We were in the hostel. One of the men dressed in military camouflage asked us where our dining hall was. From our hostels, they took us to the dining hall and from there, we were moved into the waiting vehicles and they headed towards Damboa town. The incident happened around 11pm.
Walse: It is a long story. They came to our school and deceived us into believing they were soldiers. They were dressed in military uniform and made us believe they were about rescuing us only for us to later find out that they were insurgents. When we discovered, it was already too late and there was little we could do.
At what point did you know they were not real soldiers but insurgents?
How did you escape?
Sawok: They were shouting and rude. That was when it became clear to us that they were insurgents, then they started shooting and set our school on fire. They even shot the security men guarding the school.
Sawok: I jumped out of the vehicle that looked like a truck.
Walse: Our vehicle developed a problem and they were forced to stop. I took the opportunity with some girls to run into a dark bush. What gave you the courage to jump out of the vehicle?
Sawok: I have heard a lot about Boko Haram, the bad things they do and how they have killed many people in the state. I was afraid and I became desperate. I felt getting to their camp could be dangerous for me and it would be better if I escaped. That gave me the courage to jump out. I believed that I would only get injured since it was dark and they may not know how to look for me in the bush.Did all the girls that escaped plan it?
Sawok: No, I believe the same thing was running through our minds. Immediately one of us jumped out, the rest of us just started following her.Do you have any injury?
Sawok: No, I am very fine. How do you feel about the others that were not able to escape?
Sawok: I would have loved all of us to escape. I can’t celebrate my escape because some of my friends and classmates are still in the hands of the insurgents and I don’t know what they are facing. It is my prayer that they should be freed.Walse: I have no problem, I am okay and very strong physically. The only problem I have is that some of my friends are still held hostage by terrorists
CAN Releases Names of Abducted Chibok Girls
CHRISTIAN Association of Nigeria, CAN, Sunday, released the names of the abducted female students in Chibok by the Book Haram Sect.
A Statement signed by the President/Founder of Old Time Revival Hour, Kaduna & immediate-past chairman of Northern States Christian and Elders Forum (NOCSEF), an affiliate of CAN, Evangelist Matthew Owojaiye gave reason for the attack on Chibok girls’ high school.
“Chibok Local Government is 90% Christians. Majority of the girls abducted are Christian! Why did Boko Haram visit Chibok Local Government? Why didn’t they visit so many other Local Government Girls Secondary Schools in Borno State?”Daughters of Zion taken captive, to be treated as slaves and sold into marriage to unclean people. Abomination has been committed.Raise lamentation to High Heavens. What a shame on the Church of the Living God.The Church in Nigeria is hereby called to A Lamentation Prayer.“Every Christian home must raise a lamentation to heaven daily. Let God arise and defend his Name, Honour and Majesty.Let a 15 minutes cry to heaven be done in every Church every time they gather. Oh God, Rend the Heavens and come down! Here are the names of our daughters...
Why should the people say where is our God?The Military may not be able to solve the problem but prayer will. Ordinary Military force may not get them out! Intensive Agonizing Prayer will.”We make the following demands of the Federal Government whose duty it was to protect the innocent girls.First, a N50million damage as trauma compensation to each girl.Second, a preparation to take each girl to an overseas University on Government scholarship by September 2014. Preparation for that must start now!
