Touching moment killer about to be hanged is spared execution by his victim's parents(Photos)
This is just so touching and shows the power of forgiveness in it's purest form...An Iranian, Balal, was sentenced to death for stabbing 18-year-old Abdollah Hosseinzadeh Jnr, during a street fight seven years ago.
He was finally taken to the gallows to be hanged today and as they were getting for the victims parents to to kick him off the chair(which is the tradition), the victims mother instead gave him a dirty slap and choose to forgive him, to the shock of spectators .She & her husband then removed the noose off the murderer's neck .
The killer's mother who didn't expect it was over-joyed then ran to hug her ..
The victim's father, Abdolghani Hosseinzadeh, revealed his wife had a change of heart after her dead son appeared to her in a dream.
He said:
'Three days ago, my wife saw my elder son in a dream telling her that they are in a good place and for her not to retaliate. This calmed my wife and we decided to think more until the day of the execution
Mentally-challenged woman allegedly caught with N100,000, BlackBerry in Lagos(Photo)
A mentally challenged woman who was allegedly caught with a N100,00 blackberry & an android, escaped being lynched by an angry mob
Punch reports that the incident happened around Onabanjo Street, Oworonshoki, Lagos State around 10am.Residents also claimed that two ATM cards were also found on the woman.
A resident, James Ogunkoya, said the mobs took action when they spotted her with some money and trailed her and beat her to a pulp...
“Around 10am, I saw a crowd around an unkempt woman. Some of the youths picked up sticks and were beating the woman. When I asked what was wrong, they said they found three phones and N100,000 with the her. They said the woman was not mad, but was only pretending to be mad so that she could easily perpetrate evil acts.”
Another resident said it was N50,000 that was found with the woman. The resident said the youths started suspecting her when she was overheard speaking like a normal person with somebody two days ago.
“Some guys were convinced that the woman was only pretending because they overheard her talking with a man on Monday night. They also wondered where a mad woman could have found the phones,"A police team was said to have rescued the woman from the mob & she was seen lying on a bench near the counter of the station. Our correspondent noted that she had a burst lip while her arms were bleeding.
A policeman said
“I have been asking the woman questions all day, but she has just been incoherent. She has even refused to tell us her name. At some point, she just started crying, so I let her sleep. I don’t even know if she is a mad woman. The General Secretary, Oworonshoki Youth Forum, Babajide Kabiawu, blamed the incident on the fear in the minds of people since the arrest of ritual killers in some South-West states.
“Also, when she was arrested and we searched her, we did not find any money, phone or ATM cards on her. Nobody has come to write any statement here at the station.”
He said there was a need for the government to set up a special task force at the community level.
“I do not condone people taking the laws into their hands. However, it is a reflection of the level of insecurity coupled with the discovery of the activities of ritual killers in Oyo and Ogun states. The notorious cannibal, Clifford Oji, used to parade himself as a mad man as well. We have also seen cases in our neighbourhood where supposed mad people kidnapped children. We want the government to support the community in setting up a task force that will evacuate mentally-challenged people.”

How woman stole N22 million from Peter Odemwingie, others in the UK (PICTURED)
A British woman posing as a Lifestyle Coach has escaped jail after swindling Nigerian Super Eagle striker, others of over £80,000.
Scheming Claire Duke admitted to defrauding the complainants by pocketing monies meant for her clients’ luxury holidays.
Other victim’s of Duke’s scam were Liverpool’s Andre Wisdom and former West Bromwich Albion and Celtic manager Tony Mowbray.
Duke, from St Albans, Hertfordshire, swindled the money by setting up a business called Solutions Lifestyle where she advertised flights and hotels at discount prices for her wealthy clients.
Read the Daily Mail report below:
The lifestyle consultant would take money for holidays and flights from her customers – but would pocket the cash for herself.
She wept in the dock at Stafford Crown Court, Staffordshire, today as she confessed to seven counts of fraud.
In total she made £82,561.79 fraudulently from six of her clients between April 1, 2012 and July 10 last year.
The court heard Mowbray – who was managing Middlesborough at the time – paid Duke over £30,000 for a hotel in Dubai.
But when he arrived with his family, he found not only had a different hotel been booked but it had not even been paid for.
She also stole £15,437.67 from Nigerian striker Odemwingie, 32, after obtaining his bank details from his debit card.
She also pocketed £6,000 from defender Wisdom, 21, currently on loan to Derby County, after he paid for a trip to Jamaica.
Hugh O’Brien-Quinn, prosecuting said: ‘She was a lifestyle coach and one of her clients was Peter Odemwingie, then a footballer at West Bromwich Albion.
‘He had paid the defendant £7,000 so she could book him flights to Miami. He paid with his debit card.
He married his fiancĂ©e in May 2012 and his future parents in law paid £7,560 to book a honeymoon.
‘The defendant pocketed that money but needed to cover her tracks and book a honeymoon.
‘She received £1,000 commission and even handed over the tickets at the wedding reception.‘So in April 2012 she used Mr Odemwingie’s debit card details and paid £7,471.12 from that account to another company who arranged the honeymoon.
‘She then used Mr Odemwingie’s card again for return flights from Eindhoven to London for a football agent priced at £325.33.’
The court also heard how Duke stole £6,600 from Liverpool player Andre Wisdom who gave her the money to book him a flight to Jamaica.
However, she took the money for herself and then tried to cover her tracks by using Mr Odemwingie’s account to pay £15,160.44 for flights and hotels for Mr Wisdom’s holiday to Jamaica.
Gangsters rape,kill 18 year old sex-worker in Lagos(Photo)
Police have apprehended two gangsters for allegedly raping and killing an 18-year-old commercial sex worker, Oluwatosin Ami.The suspects, John-Paul Chukwuebuka, 19; and Ebuka Chimudi, 22; belonged to a gang which specialised in luring young ladies to hotels with the aim of dispossessing them of their belongings and raping them.
According to police authorities, on April 10, 2013, two members of the gang posed as customers and visited the Happy Day Hotel, Orile.Oluwatosin was approached by the suspects and she took them into her room at the hotel which she secured at the cost of N3, 500 per day.The suspects were said to have overpowered Oluwatosin and stuffed a cloth in her mouth to prevent her from screaming.
She was also bound by the hands, while the suspects took turns in raping her.Afterwards, the suspects were said to have stolen her phone and money before locking her inside the room. The suspects were also said to have taken the key of the room and tossed it into a canal.
A relative of the deceased said the following morning, when the hotel attendants wanted to clean the hotel rooms, they knocked on the door of the room where Oluwatosin was, but there was no response.
It was learnt that the attendants then used a spare key to open the door and the corpse of Oluwatosin was found. Her father, Babatunde, told PUNCH Metro that the matter was reported at the Orile Police Station and his daughter’s corpse was taken to the Mainland Hospital, Yaba.
Babatunde said he had no idea that his daughter was a commercial sex worker. He said the family had been looking for her since December last year and had reported her missing at the Adeniji Adele Police Division on the Lagos Island.
He said,
“My daughter was in JSS3 in 2012 when she dropped out of school. She said she wanted to be a sales girl and we got a job for her, but she did not stay there. Suddenly, in December last year, she left the house and did not return home. Her mother and I called her on the telephone several times, but she would say she was fine and putting up in a friend’s place. She used to visit her grandmother, but in January, she stopped picking calls. All attempts to get her proved abortive. We did not hear anything from her until we received a telephone call a few days ago, saying her corpse had been found in a hotel.”The mother of the deceased, Muibat, lamented that Oluwatosin was her third child that would die within five years. She said the deceased was her first born and she had only two children remaining. She said she did her best as a parent and wondered why her daughter chose such a lifestyle

How our friend & colleague disappeared after making ATM withdrawals (Must Read)
I just received this mail and just had to share… and it is really important to spread the word..
On the night of Friday, the 7th of March 2014, our friend and colleague disappeared.
He was with a friend in his rented apartment in Port Harcourt on that night when he received a call. After answering the call at about 8pm, he told his guest he had to dash out to meet some colleague and that he would be back shortly. That was the last time anyone saw him alive, he met with the persons but never returned.
He had planned to travel to home to his family in Warri on Saturday but sadly, their expectation to see him alive and well was cut short. He never came home.
By Monday his family was fully panicked. They checked and confirmed that there were no accidents on the PHC-WAR road and that his name was not on any manifest of the more popular transport companies.
Further enquiries revealed that there had been several withdrawals from his account via his ATM card along the Eleme/Onne axis of Port Harcourt.
It was then assumed that he had been kidnapped, though there was never any call or demand for ransom.
THIRD PARTY INFORMATION
Fast forward three weeks to Friday 28th of March, when a
guy flew in to Port Harcourt from Lagos. Apparently, he came to close a business deal.
On arrival, he checked into a hotel and got in contact with a driver/mechanic whom he was familiar with and arranged for the guy to take him somewhere for a business meeting with some persons. Upon arriving at the location, they were attacked, but luckily the mechanic/driver escaped. He returned to the location a while later with police men and met the corpse of his client (the man from Lagos). Per protocol, the police searched the area and discovered the now de-composing corpse of our colleague.
OUR THOUGHTS
It appears there is a syndicate or gang of criminals who are using a ‘honey trap’ to lure unsuspecting people to an untimely and gruesome death. We believe based on the little facts we have that they are parading an item for sale for an unbelievable bargain price. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS OR HOW THE INITIAL CONTACT IS MADE (MOST LIKELY ONLINE), it could be anything from a high end vehicle or heavy duty equipment to real estate property, though it’s more likely to be a car/vehicle because it is unlikely our colleague would go out at night to inspect a piece of land and the fact that their last victim contacted a mechanic/driver indicates that he was likely looking for his input/opinion on the state of item he wanted to buy. AGAIN, WE DON’T KNOW THE DETAILS OF THE ‘DEAL’ BECAUSE NONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO STARTED THE DEAL SURVIVED TO TELL THE TALE.
Whatever it is, we believe that they are offering it at a
substantial below market price, hence the interest from would be victims.
After price negotiations (presumably on phone), they would arrange to meet up with their customer for inspection only to accost the person, beat and torture him/her until the person divulges the pin code to his/her ATM card(s) which they would have already taken. They proceed to confirm the code they have forced the victim to divulge is correct by using it in any nearby ATM machine (also definitely check the balance), after which they kill the person and set-up another deal for the next weekend while they continue withdrawing from their victims account(s).
It seems logical because in the build up to the deal, it’s logical that the person would have started accumulating money in his/her account towards the purchase.
This scenario fits our colleague’s case.
They called him on Friday night of 7th March, 2014 to meet-up with them, he went, they beat him and tortured him till he gave them his pin, they confirmed it and killed him.
The same scenario played out again three weeks later only this time, one of the two people escaped to raise an alarm.
Please we all need to be careful not to fall for this or any other ‘honey trap’ be it via online or any other media.
SPREAD THE WORD – THEIR NEXT WOULD BE VICTIM COULD BE SAVED BY YOUR ACTIONS!!
The shell staff was a young man (under 40 yrs).
He was at work on Fri and promised to see his family on Saturday.
Sadly, that did not happen.
Stories abound of kidnap cases and ATM theft
Some of the learning(s) from this incident.
1. Stop receiving bank alerts on your phone (Kidnappers check phones for account balances and make withdrawals from accounts after obtaining the PIN from the kidnapped individual)
2. If possible, maintain a separate account for ATM use (separate your salary or main account from the account that has an ATM card. Someone says she has an account she transfers funds too for weekend use. Never a lot of money in that account so the loss of the card / account would not be
an issue)
3. Have only one ATM card on you at any point in time (especially for ladies, do not put all your “cards” in one “bag”
4. ALWAYS let people know what you are up to (or where you are going to)
5. Be very wary of “deals” that seem too good to be true
Please let’s all be careful especially those who are always interested in buying parcels of land, following strange agents to unknown places to check out apartments or cars for sale. This is a great eye opener !!! Always ensure you transact business through a known and registered office, it’s safer. God help us all.

A 20-year-old student of Sociology in the University of Benin identified as Chukwudi Nwaobi has drowned in a hotel swimming pool in the Ipaja area of Lagos State.
On that ill-fated day, Chukwudi had gone to relax at Infinity Hotel, Abesan Estate
Recounting the ordeal, the elder brother
to the deceased said Chukwudi had called their mother to say he wanted
to get to Iyana Ipaja to do some shopping as he was due to return to
school a few days later. After sometime, their mother called his phone
but he did not pick. The elder brother also tried and still he didn't
pick.
The elder brother said, "Just
before we were about to report the matter to the police, someone
finally picked up to say my brother had been arrested and we should come
to Ipaja Police Division. On getting to the station, the police were
acting funny. Later, we were allowed into the DPO’s office where we met
the manager of the hotel. They then explained to us that my brother was
dead and his corpse had been deposited at the Mainland Hospital, Yaba."
The
family is blaming the hotel for the incident saying, the information
relayed to the family implied that the hotel was negligent.
The
elder brother to the deceased said that if the life guard had been on
duty at the time of the incident, his brother would not have died,
adding that his brother was a good swimmer and wondered how he could
have drowned.
He said the hotel
should have also informed the family immediately the incident occurred
as further investigations revealed that Chukwudi did not die in the
hotel, but at Rauf Aregbesola Clinic, Egbeda, where he was referred to
from Adefemi Hospital, Opeki, where he was rushed to after he was
brought out of the water.
"We
were told by the hospital that he still had a pulse when he was brought
there but because of the severity of the case, he was referred to Rauf
Aregbesola Clinic, Egbeda where he was declared dead," he said.
The
mother of the deceased, Ngozi Nwaobi, is however calling on the police
and the Lagos State Government to do their best in ensuring that an
autopsy was done quickly so the corpse could be released for burial.
The hotel manager and another employee were arrested by the police but were later released.
According
to the lawyer for the hotel, Mr. Boye Leyimu who described the incident
as unfortunate, they will do everything they can to help the family in
this trying time.

They Gang-Raped Girl And Justice: How Nigeria Police Forced Victim To Free Rapists
Hawawu's house where she was dumped
READ MORE: http://news.naij.com/64480.html
Hawawu (full name withheld), the 16 year-old daughter of a struggling bricklayer, was gang-raped by four boys in Agbado-Oja community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to report, on that fateful day, the evening of March 30, Hawawu, an apprentice tailor had received a call from her male friend, Adeleke whom she had a soft spot for. He reportedly invited her for a meeting in his house. On getting there, she was said to be reluctant in going into the house but she later succumbed. Shortly after, Adeleke and three of his friends dragged her into his room after which four of them allegedly took turns raping her.
Later that night, they were said to have dragged the now half-conscious girl writhing in pains all the way down the staircases in the storey building then dumped her in front of her ramshackle house on 4, Isanmi Street in the Adubo-Agopani area of Agbado-Oja.
The next morning, her traumatized father, Mr. Olarenwaju headed for the palace of the Baale (local chief), Sunday Oyeogun, to report the matter. Th Baale then summoned the parents of the accused boys but rather than apologise for their action and extend care to the victim, they allegedly ‘gathered’ N200, 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) and brought to the Baale to ‘kill’ the case which according to him, he refused and directed that the girl be treated as a matter of urgency before any other discussion. He also advised the victim’s father to report the case at the Divisional Police Headquarters in the area

Hawawu's father, Mr. Olarenwaju
One Alaba, a police officer attached to the Juvenile, Women and Children’s Unit, was assigned the case as the Investigating Police Officer (IPO).
A source who pleaded anonymity for fear of being harassed by the police said, "Alaba ensured that the girl was taken to the Sarabis Medical Centre in the Odo-Oba area of the community, and also got the boys arrested. But shortly after, he called Mr. Olarenwaju and asked him to withdraw the case. When Mr. Olarenwaju protested the idea of what seemed a miscarriage of justice, Alaba slapped him and handcuffed him, ‘rough-handling’ him at the police station. The poor man thereafter kept mute and offered no more resistance."
As if that was not enough, Hawawu was intimidated by the police to sign an undertaking that she had withdrawn the case and would forever keep sealed lips over it and by Nigerian and international laws, anyone under the age of 18 is considered not qualified to sign undertakings or agreements. The culprits were thereafter freed unconditionally.
The hospital where she was treated also raises a number of questions as sources in the community claim Mr. Amodu is a psychiatrist and not a general practitioner and that it is common knowledge that the police always insists on referring rape and other related cases in the community to Sarabis because the two — the hospital and the police– allegedly shares the N20, 000 fee for ‘medical report’ on a 50/50 ratio.
Dr. Amodu would not confirm or deny anything, instead, directing the reporter to the police.
At the Divisional Headquarters, neither the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) nor the IPO, Alaba was available for comments.

Fire guts PDP Headquarters,Abuja…(Photo)
Barely hours after PDP accused APC of masterminding today’s Abuja
bombing, the PDP headquarters situated at Wadata Plaza, Michael Okpara
Way, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja is on fire .An eyewitness claims the press
section of the building is worse hit.. The PDP weeps. We are indeed
grief-stricken. Our hearts go out to the bereaved, especially those who have been orphaned and widowed and those now deprived of their bread winners by this evil act. We share in their pain, their anguish and their loss and pray that those behind their grief must not escape justice,” the party
said. “We stand by our earlier statements that these attacks on our
people are politically motivated by unpatriotic persons, especially
those in the APC, who have been making utterances and comments,
promoting violence and blood-letting as a means of achieving political control.” Continue…
“Nigerians are also aware of utterances by certain APC governors which
have been aimed at undermining our security forces and emboldening
insurgents against the people. “Those who have been promoting violence
through their utterances can now see the monster they have created. They
can now see the end product of their comments; a country flowing daily
with the blood of the innocent. The question is; how do they feel when
they see the mangled and blood-soaked bodies of their victims? How do
they feel when they hear the voices of the dying and the injured? “Of
course they feel nothing. Their hearts have been hardened and they are
embittered by the fact that they have been rejected by the people. They
are bitter because the people have chosen to rally round the government
they love and voted for; but must they chose the path of violence and
bloodletting as a response to the wishes and aspiration
of the people. Urging all well meaning Nigerians to stand up and join
President Goodluck Jonathan in his untiring efforts to check terrorism
in the country, the PDP caution
those fueling the attacks to retrace their steps, rid themselves of
bitterness and desperation and seek forgiveness from God. The party, in
solidarity with the people also shelved all official engagements while
praying God to grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss.
